One of Morgan Properties apartment communities, The Marylander – in conjunction with Johns Hopkins University – hosted a free Chinese New Year celebration, February 21, 2018, to help bring awareness to the Baltimore community.
The event included a special guest performance by Baltimore singer Davon Fleming – a semi-finalist in NBC’s “The Voice” – a colorful dragon parade at JHU’s Homewood Beach, and a reception that included free refreshments, door prizes and karaoke.
It was promoted as a JHU/Charles Village/Marylander event, and was open to anyone in the surrounding areas, as well as JHU campuses in both Maryland and DC. An estimated 300 people turned out for the event.
