Dozens of folks decided the perfect way to spend a September Saturday afternoon was hanging out at UNION Craft Brewing, slurping freshly shucked oysters and sipping their favorite craft beers…all benefiting the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, together with the Great Baltimore Oyster Partnership.
The party took place on the brewery’s patio, where guests could mingle and indulge in oysters from several Maryland oyster farms. There were also a number of oyster gardeners – volunteers with the Great Baltimore Oyster Partnership – on hand, along with Foundation experts to provide more interesting info on the efforts being made to boost local oyster aquaculture and why that benefits the Bay.
