With COVID-19 social distancing and stay-at-home dictates in place – rather than cancelling or postponing its annual “Influential Marylanders” event – the Maryland Daily Record rose to the challenge and held its first virtual event, Monday, June 1, 2020.
The evening was co-hosted by Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, TDR group publisher…
…and Tom Baden, TDR editor, both of whom kept the show moving at a good clip. As Suzanne and Tom introduced various categories and the winners in each, viewers could participate with tweets hashtagged #TDRevents, that constantly rotated in a corner of the screen throughout the event.During the show, friends, family and colleagues would occasionally offer their congratulations to the winners.
The Maryland Daily Record also offered a little catch-up for those who might have missed the evening, with a recording of the live streamed event available on thedailyrecord.com
