2023 Marquee Ball: Creature Feature! Creative Alliance
What does it take to channel your fashion fantasies, to break away from that LBD and that dress-up suit and tie? Is an emergency session with your shrink in order? Or perhaps self analysis done over that 3 a.m. ice cream crunch? Apparently, it’s the clarion call of the Creative Alliance’s Marquee Ball. On hiatus for the last three years, it came back with a roaring flourish last Saturday night at The Creative Alliance at The Patterson. A sold-out event, guests dove into the opportunity to access their inner creatures.
Black crows that rival Poe’s Raven nestled in spikey hair, marvelous masks hid alter egos, wild wigs, extraordinary makeup and costumes transformed one and all. And let’s not forget Dracula and the fangs – a favorite. As wine was quaffed, and hors d’oeuvres nibbled, one wondered was that blood or catsup that drizzled from Dracula’s lip? A bite was in order as Dracula responded to a wanting vamp’s come-hither look. But one thing was certain. A beastly good time was had by all!
