Scores of folks did their darnedest to be disconsolate in honor of the Saddest Day of the Year. According to Wikipedia, January 15th is so designated based on “research” based on “many factors, including: weather conditions, debt level (the difference between debt accumulated and our ability to pay), time since Christmas, time since failing our new year’s resolutions, low motivational levels and feeling of a need to take action.” (…OR…it could just have been a 2005 PR stunt that stuck…)

To further wallow in misery, guests could pick a pessimistic name tag….

…and bellyache on paper.
