First folks toured the museum, specifically the “Shock and Awe” exhibit, where they could chat with its artist, Matt Sesow.
Then, they were welcomed by AVAM founder/director Rebecca Hoffberger, after which guests adjourned to a happy hour event at Encantada, AVAM’s in-house eatery.
Down the Rabbit Hole (September 21, 2016) Members and friends of the Pratt Contemporaries – the group of young professional supporters of the Enoch Pratt Free Library – gathered at the American Visionary Art Museum for a little art appreciation, aperitifs and apps. All in anticipation of the evening’s big reveal – that of the theme of the group’s big January shindig, the Black & White Party. Get out your top hats, rabbit ears and pocket watches – it’s Alice in Wonderland!
