Street Style: Kickin’ It Into 2020

by Sascha Wolhandler

It’s January, time to “get our serious on”.  Pay attention to those resolutions. NOT.

Getting back to work after all that holiday frivolity provokes dedicated attention. The glitter is back in the closet, the suits come out and are ready for business. With elections demanding prominent attention, business dress was in earnest at a recent candidate rally (we won’t say which!). However, amidst the stalwart suits, touches of creative fashion peaked through. A jeweled beret, a touch of leopard (always, the “new neutral”) and vibrant prints all strolled confidently into the female business world. From weekly business, an unseasonably sunny weekend brought out casual gear of torn jeans, shoulder-baring sweaters, flashes of color and boots. Did I say boots?  Short boots, tall boots, cowboy boots, stiletto boots and studded boots and THIGH-high boots all seemed to convey one thing – it’s a new decade and the thinking, confident woman is here. Fearless fashion is here to stay in 2020.  Bring it!!
