The Glass Pavilion at Johns Hopkins University was the setting for “RYE: 21st Evening of Traditional Beverages,” benefiting the Homewood Museum. Guests got to sample the wares of several local distillers and hear about the history of the famed spirit that has its roots in Maryland, courtesy the evening’s guest speakers, Dennis Pogue, author of “Founding Spirits: George Washington and the Beginnings of the American Whiskey Industry.”
